Textured Tree Collection

Each piece starts while the clay is still wet — a light green slip is transferred using newsprint paper, then layered with white slip to build the tree design by hand, one layer at a time. After the first firing, a dark wash settles into the texture for an antiqued, weathered look, and a matte glaze finishes the interior with a quiet pop of color.

The exterior is wet-sanded by hand after the final firing, left smooth and cool to the touch against the raised texture of the design.

Made by hand in small batches in my Denver studio, no two trees quite the same.
