Cherry Blossom

My new cherry blossom work is made on potters wheel and involves numerous steps and working with with very wet clay. I've been transferring white slip onto news print to create a layered stucco effect on my work.  An underglaze wash is applied for an antiquing appearance and glaze inside. Then I hand paint my cherry blossom pattern. I leave the outside bare clay and unglazed. The outside of each item is then wet sanded after it has come out of its final firing for a smooth finish.
