Hand painted lady bug mug w/matte mint (chartreuse) glazed interior.

**On sale because this cup features a chartreuse base on the outside and the leaves and ladybugs are painted outside. It was a test cup. Glaze is a combination of two glazes, layered on top of one another.
My process:
I make this tea bowl on the potters wheel and once the rim is dry enough to support itself, I turn it over and trim the bottom. Then while it is still very wet, I apply a chartreuse slip to newsprint paper that is transferred on to the pot. After it comes out of the first firing, I apply a black wash for an antiquing appearance to the outside of the pot and a matte chartreuse and then layer a variegated green glaze to the inside. Then I hand paint lady bugs and leaves the tea bowl. Then pot goes back in the kiln the for its second and final firing. After it comes out of the glaze kiln, the outside of the tea bowl/cup is then wet sanded for a super smooth finish.
