My process:
I use the potter's wheel to create this tea bowl. I generally make the body of the cup one day, trim the bottom foot the next day. I then let it dry completely and then paint lady bugs and leaves on the outside and apply a red slip to the inside of the cup. I started painting this design more than 12 years ago and it continues to evolve. A clear glaze finishes the tea bowl, on the inside and outside. Fired in an electric oxidation kiln.
