Geometric Pattern Red Stoneware Mug (Studio Second)
A hand-thrown red stoneware mug featuring an intricate hand-carved geometric pattern against a smooth, raw clay finish — equally at home as an everyday coffee mug or a thoughtful gift.
Why this is discounted: This design is from a few years ago, and I still have a handful left in my studio inventory — part of this sale.

THE ARTISAN PROCESS & DESIGN
- Wheel-thrown & hand-attached handle: Thrown from red stoneware, with the foot precision-trimmed and the handle hand-attached the following day.
- Geometric stencil texture: A geometric stencil is used to layer colored slips onto the exterior, then the design is hand-carved for crisp, precise detail.
- Antiqued & hand-sanded finish: A black wash highlights the carved crevices, and the exterior is wet-sanded twice by hand for a smooth, luxurious raw-clay feel.
- Interior & glaze: The interior features a vibrant red slip finished with a clear glaze, then fired for a fully food-safe, functional piece.
Made by hand in small batches in my Denver studio — no AI, no mass production, just one potter shaping every piece.
