Hand painted cherry blossom sake set, bottle with two cups.
I make this sake set on the potters wheel and once it is dry enough I trim the bottom and the cups. Then while it is bone dry, I apply a mix of red and white underglaze to the outside of the bottle and cups, then paint cherry blossoms on. Once completely dry it gets fired. After it comes out of the first firing, glaze the inside with white glaze and the outside with clear and then the pot goes back in the kiln the for its second and final firing.
