It was a test cup. Glaze is a combination of two glazes, layered on top of one another.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMy process:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI make this tea bowl on the potters wheel and once the rim is dry enough to support itself, I turn it over and trim the bottom. Then while it is still very wet, I apply a chartreuse slip to newsprint paper that is transferred on to the pot. After it comes out of the first firing, I apply a black wash for an antiquing appearance to the outside of the pot and a matte chartreuse and then layer a variegated green glaze to the inside. Then I hand paint lady bugs and leaves the tea bowl.
