My process:
I use the potter's wheel to create this precious cup. I generally make the sake cup one day and trim the bottom foot the next day. I then let it dry completely and then paint red plumflowers and a trailing vine on it. I have been painting this design since I returned to pottery about 12 years ago. It's been fun and interesting to see it evolve into its present rendition. A clear glaze finishes the cup, inside and out and is fired in an electric oxidation kiln.
